Measurement

Measurement is a way to find out how big, how long, or how heavy something is. It helps us know the size of things and compare them with each other.

Measurement: Longer – shorter

  • Longer: When one object is more extended in length than another object.
  • Shorter: When one object has less length than another object.

Examples:
1. My pencil is longer than Mohit’s pencil.
2. Ravi is shorter than Rajan.

Measurement: Longest – shortest

 To measure few of the things  we judge it which one is longest between all of them. 
Examples:
1. Neil is longest river in the world.
2. This is shortest route of my village.

Measurement: Taller – shorter

  • Taller: When comparing two students, the one with the greater height is described as taller.
  • Shorter: When comparing two students, the one with the lesser height is described as shorter.

Examples:
1. Meena is taller than Neena.
2. Rohan is shorter than Raju.

Measurement: Tallest – shortest

  • Thinnest: The student with the least body width or girth in the class.
