Lines
A line is the most basic visual element. Lines can be used to define shapes and figures. Learning about a line will help kids write alphabets and numbers easily. Lines act as the foundation for learning geometry in higher classes.
Practice of lines for kids-
- Horizontal line – Horizontal lines are lines that run from left to right and are parallel to the x-axis.
- Zig-Zag line – a line, course, or progression characterized by sharp turns first to one side and then to the other.
- Diagonal line – A diagonal is a line segment connecting the opposite vertices (or corners) of a polygon.
- Straight lines – A line with no bends or curves and the shortest distance between two points.
- Wavy lines – A wavy line has a series of regular curves along it.
- Tracing lines – Line tracing is one of those activities that develop your child’s control of the small muscles in his/ her hands (fine motor skills).
